Increasingly, the face of the military is changing and so is the ethnic and cultural makeup of the veteran population in California. This forum explores how race, culture, and ethnicity affect the veteran experience and challenge the stereotypes and images we hold about veterans.

This program was one of five Public Conversations exploring different facets of the veteran experience conducted during Summer 2014, as part of War Comes Home , Cal Humanities’ statewide initiative to open minds to the critical issues veterans face when coming home from war.
