How to: Often with a tube amp you might wish that the actual amplifier had less gain. Yes really. But in these days of incredibly high gain levels on tube amps with as many as seven or eight pre-amplifier tubes in your amp how would you do that?

Well there's a simple answer that anyone could do! Firstly you have to check if you have a 12AX7 tube in the first pre-amp socket and if you do then your luck is surely in for today. Simply buy a 5751 tube, remove the 12AX7 tube, fit the 5751 and you have instantly reduced the gain that the pre-amp can produce! The 5751 has 30% LESS gain than the 12AX7!

I dont get paid to create my videos, and I am certainly not going to bow down to those forum mob coming here, swearing, threatening and giving abuse or moaning simply because I highlighted a number of issues that I found in a review that they disliked. I dont have the time or inclination to listen to it any longer. The people that are subscribers I have lots of time for, but these other types devalue YouTube in many ways. $Why its time to take a look at the Axe FX III effects unit | From the Inside and Out | Tony Mckenzie In the good old days of 2011 or thereabouts I looked at the predecessor of the Axe FX III and was quite surprised at what I saw, not in a good way. But forward to 2019. Theres no waiting list to buy the version III like there was in the old days. In fact currently those halcyon days seem to be gone. Lets face it, the cost of (in Europe) of about £2400 or so is, well, at best high. But the price in the USA is not cheap either. And theres new competition at substantially lower cost, although Kemper seems to be on the wrong side of £1300 ($1600) or so also these days. So heres an introduction about an inside and out review that will be coming just as soon as I have all of the information together. The review indeed did show you more than anyone else ever has on YouTube or in any other review. Be informed BEFORE you buy one! Indeed it was interesting and covered a huge amount of things, like noisy fans, power switches glued in place, country of origin of the unit missing but made in China, the cheap $61 processor, the complexity of the unit and so much more. I was sworn at, harassed, threatened.. abused... you name it. So I deleted the review and want nothing to do with minions like that. Indeed some of them are the sort that could maybe drive someone to suicide... and as you see on YouTube, sometimes that happens through being harassed by those types of people. So, my opinion?
