Skiing safely off-piste with a guide equipped with ropes, harness and crampons down the notorious "La Vallée Blanche" surrounded by beautiful ice caves is a unique experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
Chamonix's scattered 5 ski areas of Grands Montets, Les Houches, Le Tour/Balme, La Flégère/Le Brévent (both linked) offers skiers and snowboarders a fantastic playground for all skiing abilities.
For off-pistes skiers, look no further, it is a thrill seeker's paradise with so much off piste terrain and off course the most famous off-piste ski run in the world, "La Vallée Blanche" which finishes off with the iconic red Montenvers Mer de Glace cog wheel train down to Chamonix (must have lunch at Refuge du Montenvers - extraordinary views!).
