For many years, experiments with prehistoric technologies have been conducted at Sagnlandet Lejre (Land of Legends), Denmark.
This film presents fascinating experiments, such as the manufacture of flint tools, construction of burial monuments from the Stone Age, experiments with burning down Iron Age Houses, experiment with Bronze Age mounds, iron extraction and forging, prehistoric ceramics, clothing, etc.
A number of international experts and archaeologists participate in the experiments, which are conducted in a timespan of 60 years. Some of the experiments have now achieved a classic status in international experimental archaeology.
The latest project in Sagnlandet Lejre is the reconstruction of the large Viking King's Hall.
