Kathleen Mower | Challenge Journal Flip Through | January Just Junk Journal Challenge 2023 @BeAgainBooks | Uploaded January 2023 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
I am here with another junk journal flip through - this one is pretty shabby because it is made with junk! Inspired by the January Just Junk Journal Challenge 2023 by @Dearjuliejulie this month, this is my finished journal - all challenge details are complete. All the elements had to be made from a list of junk materials, but we were allowed to print images from Julie's kits to use on whatever paper we wished. I chose images from "French Fashionistas" and the "Tres Jolie Paris Postcards" with a few other random florals and ephemera bases. I chose to go with a shabby/grungy theme in order to best make use of my junk. The cover is made from a recycled cereal box and I've created a mixed media collage of images on the front and back cover.
My intention is to document this basic journal made for the challenge and then to come back and "pretty" it up, using additional tools and materials that were not allowed in the challenge. So stay tuned - I'll be back with another flip-through of the final journal.
