The 7 Chakras:

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara): The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with grounding, stability, and our basic needs for survival. Its color is red, and it governs our sense of safety, security, and connection to the Earth. When balanced, you feel secure, centered, and confident in your physical presence. Imbalances may manifest as anxiety, insecurity, or physical issues with the legs, feet, or lower back.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Found just below the navel, the Sacral Chakra resonates with creativity, pleasure, and emotional expression. Its color is orange, and it influences sexuality, passion, and relationships. A balanced Sacral Chakra allows for healthy emotions and creative flow, while blockages might lead to emotional instability, fear of change, or difficulties with intimacy.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Located in the upper abdomen, the Solar Plexus Chakra is the center of personal power and self-esteem. Yellow in color, it governs willpower, motivation, and transformation. When in harmony, you experience confidence and a strong sense of purpose. Imbalances can present as low self-worth, indecisiveness, or digestive problems.

4. Heart Chakra (Anahata): At the center of the chest, the Heart Chakra bridges the lower and upper chakras, connecting physical and spiritual aspects. Its color is green and it embodies love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional balance. A balanced Heart Chakra fosters deep connections and empathy, while blockages may show as bitterness, loneliness, or difficulty in relationships.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Situated at the throat, this chakra is associated with communication, truth, and self-expression. Its color is blue, and it enables honest expression and active listening. When open, you can articulate your truth clearly; when blocked, you may experience issues such as fear of speaking, sore throat, or miscommunication.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Located between the eyebrows, the Third Eye Chakra governs intuition, insight, and higher wisdom. Its color is indigo, and it connects you to your inner guidance and imagination. Balance here brings clarity, strong intuition, and spiritual awareness. Imbalances can result in confusion, lack of direction, or headaches.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): The Crown Chakra is at the top of the head and represents spiritual connection and enlightenment. Its color is violet or white, and it links you to the divine and universal consciousness. An open Crown Chakra brings peace, unity, and a sense of bliss, while blockages may cause feelings of disconnection, cynicism, or spiritual distress.

Each chakra plays a vital role in your overall well-being. Balancing and tuning these energy centers through practices like meditation, sound healing, and mindful movement can bring harmony to your body, mind, and spirit, allowing you to live more fully in alignment with your true self.

Solar Plexus Chakra, 6-minutes of sound layers that will bring you into tune, balance, confidence, and inner power. The Solar Plexus Chakra is the radiant fire within the chakra system, the golden center of will, confidence, purpose, and personal power. It is the place where energy gathers direction after it has learned to flow. When this center is balanced, its power does not dominate; it shines with clarity, helping the body stand tall, the mind focus, and the spirit act from a place of strength and self-trust. In its awakened state, the Solar Plexus Chakra becomes a bright sun of vital life force, where intention and action meet. This is not the sacred water that teaches energy how to flow, but the inner flame that teaches energy how to rise with purpose. A tuned Solar Plexus Chakra allows confidence to grow without arrogance, strength to move without force, and personal power to express without losing compassion. Balance here brings a centered strength that feels warm, steady, and alive, a sense of being lit from within like sunlight across the high desert. Clarity gains direction. Courage finds its rhythm. Purpose returns to the body. The world stops feeling uncertain and begins to feel like a path you can step onto with confidence, focus, and conscious intent. Most of all, a harmonized Solar Plexus Chakra restores the natural rhythm of will and action. It reconnects you to the fire within, the pulse beneath courage, and the quiet strength that turns intention into movement, discipline, self-respect, and transformation. When the Solar Plexus Chakra is open and balanced, the entire system becomes more focused, empowered, radiant, and ready to move forward. …A bit of backstory on this project: “Taos Winds Chakra 2026”… In the 1980s, my first Chakra album came into being. It was a gift for a friend who was doing healing work with stones and sound. He thought the music I was doing at the time would fit very well into his healing routines, so I put together an album with frequency soundscapes at the core of it all. But, it wasn’t until 2000 that I was able to take it to the next level, and create what many of you are familiar with, “Taos Winds Chakra.” I bought a Korg Triton Pro Workstation to have as the center of my studio, a very cutting-edge synth at the time, and I do still use it to this day. It took my sound and frequency work to the next level. I released the album Chakra anywhere I could at the time, and it did well. But, in 2010, I was walking by my CD rack one evening, and Taos Winds Chakra jumped out at me. I pulled it from the rack and popped it into the CD player. Within minutes my thoughts went to YouTube. I had a channel already, had it since 2006 at the very beginning of YouTube, but never really did anything with it, just random projects… As I listened to the original Chakra album, I knew I had to share it with a larger audience. I immediately set out to create visuals for each Chakra soundscape/music. I dug deep into my toolbox, and created the first series of moving Chakra colored cloudscapes using fractals in Adobe After Effects. Synced the soundscapes and cloudscapes, and let them fly out into the world… It worked, that album is at the very foundation of Taos Winds Spirit Music. Years later, almost 1000 videos later, I return to the foundation, but, with the 2026 version, “Taos Winds Chakra 2026.” The future in which we have arrived… It is all new music/soundscapes and visuals, no reproduction of the original in any way, it is Chakra 2026. I do return to the roots of its unique sounds though, The Korg Triton. I still use the Triton on a fairly regular basis, but with this project, I have decided to honor the original album, I will use only the Triton sounds, as it was with Chakra 2000. Side note here: the release of the Triton in 1999, was the pinnacle, the summit, of the 80s and 90s synth evolution. Some of the most lush, hypnotic, and wonderous sounds of the time… and still even now it sits high upon the top shelf of synths. Come on in… Namaste, my friends!
