The Chagu Chagu Umakko Horse Festival was cancelled in 2020 and in 2021, unfortunately. I was approached by a local TV station, Iwate Broadcasting Company, to appear on a TV show on June 12th, 2021. As part of the TV show I was able to go with a camera crew and speak with various people involved in the festival. I tried to use the opportunity to also share the festival with you! Of course it's not being held this year, but hopefully it will next be held on the 2nd Saturday in June in 2022.
