This time, Rayne is hunting down all of Kagan's relatives in the modern age. Bloodrayne 2 was more focused on combat and platforming, as opposed to running and gunning like in the first. It also showed off the incredible power of the Infernal engine. Careful of the puddles when tossing baddies into the fan. They will hurt Rayne just like normal water does.
