Star Wars video feature. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video feature on Star Wars for the Game Boy developed by NMS Software, Ltd. and published by Capcom. Originally released for the NES in 1991, Star Wars was ported to the Game Boy a year later. The game plays well and looks good, but players should also beware—this game isn’t exactly a walk in the Dagobah system. A notoriously difficult game, Star Wars is a 2D action game that loosely follows the story of A New Hope. It features ruthless enemies, complex levels, occasionally awkward platforming mechanics and levels that start you over from the beginning if you die. Of course, it also features Princess Leia, so what can you do? Star Wars is a single-player game on the Game Boy.
