Just a quick video update today. CG Shortcuts has just turned 1 year old so I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far. Big shout out to all our Youtube Subscribers, our Facebook Group members, Our Instagram followers! all the students who have taken our online courses. and of course a big thanks to our Patrons over on Patreon, without your support we definitely couldn’t be doing what we’re doing! We have an extra little birthday reward for you guys which I’ll mention at the end of the video.
So to celebrate we’ve just launched a brand new website that we’ve redesigned from the ground up to make learning Motion Graphics easier than ever. There’s now a fancy new tutorial video player on there so you can binge watch all the tutorials and sort them into categories and all that kinda stuff.
We’ve also done a huge update to the resources section which is jammed packed full of useful tools for CG Artists, so definitely check that out, I’ll also be updating that regularly, so let me know if I’ve missed anything.
We’ve also introduced a brand new forum page where people can ask questions, post artwork and request tutorials directly on the CG Shortcuts website. We’re also developing a big art collaboration project to feature here so keep an eye out for that too!
We’ve also updated the monthly art challenges and the rules are changing slightly from now on. Basically all challenges will start on the 1st day of the month and you’ll have 25 days only to enter, instead of the first to last Friday of the month, which people were finding a bit confusing. This keeps everything nice and simple, I’ll be posting full details on this on Monday when we’ll announce our winners and reveal the next challenge.
We’ve also updated our monthly Newsletter with loads of CG themed extras, and freebies so you can also sign up for that directly from the homepage to stay in the loop. You can also find us nice and easily across the web.
So as I mentioned earlier, we’ve got an extra little reward for our Patreon Patrons! Besides being able to download full render ready scene files, early access to tutorials, priority tutorial requests, free full online courses etc etc You’ll now get a free 4K or fully procedural Cinema 4D Octane shader every week for the next year!
