I've returned to my roots with this one; this is a very simple arrangement of the Cerulean City theme from Pokémon Red Blue and Yellow. My very first Pokemon music arrangements from about 6 years were super simplistic and far less ambitious than some of the arrangements I've done in the past couple of years. I don't know why but I felt like returning to that simpler sound for Cerulean City.

I've recently been a fan of adding sound effects or ambient sound to my music. When I do this I always lay down the sound effects first - in this case, the sound of rain. This is like when an artist, instead of beginning to paint on a blank canvas, has something already etched onto the cavas, or some masking tape laid down to create a shape. It gives you a backdrop, or an enclosure, to work against, and this can evoke more creativity in my opinion. And I have enjoyed doing this immensely.

There are two more Pokémon RBY arrangements in the works from me, and are close to completion. So stay tuned.
