Im Verbundvorhaben CERMcity (Center for European Research on Mobility Urban Validation Environment) erarbeiteten Partner aus Industrie und Forschung Testsysteme und -prozeduren, die für die Entwicklung automatisierter Fahrfunktionen benötigt werden. Im Ergebnis stellt das Projekt Fahrzeugplattformen mit offenen Schnittstellen sowie eine sichere und leistungsfähige Testumgebung zur Verfügung, in der Fahrzeug- und Kommunikationstechnik in anspruchsvollen innerstädtischen Verkehrssituationen realitätsnah dargestellt werden können. Die Testinfrastruktur steht allen Interessierten – Forschungseinrichtungen, Start-ups, kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen (KMUs) usw. – offen, um innovative Komponenten und Funktionen für das automatisierte Fahren in einer realen Prüfumgebung zu testen und zu validieren.
CERMCity wurde durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF, Förderkennzeichen 16EMO0197) gefördert.

In the joint project CERMcity (Center for European Research on Mobility Urban Validation Environment), partners from industry and research developed test systems and procedures that are required for the development of automated driving functions. As a result, the project provides vehicle platforms with open interfaces as well as a safe and efficient test environment in which vehicle and communication technology can be realistically represented in demanding inner-city traffic situations. The test infrastructure is open to all interested parties - research institutes, start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), etc. - to test and validate innovative components and functions for automated driving in a real test environment.
CERMCity was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, grant no. 16EMO0197)
