The ceremony of the 12th and 13th editions of the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awards took place on 21 September 2021 at the Euskalduna Conference Centre in Bilbao. The event, co-chaired by the BBVA Foundation President, Carlos Torres Vila, and the President of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Rosa Menéndez, recognized 35 global leaders in scientific research and artistic creation.
