On July 14th, 2022 a few friends and I made a day trip around Central Illinois and Indiana to see a little bit of everything.
0:00 Amtrak #390 at South Effingham.
0:31 IC 1000 leads train A408 south in the siding at Neoga to meet A407 who is on the main with IC 1035 in the lead.
2:47 A407 was caught again at Humboldt.
4:06 CN Local train L550 was paced north along US Highway 45 just south of Arcola.
4:46 L550 as it came through Arcola. Notice the red semi truck almost get hit by the gates as they came down.
5:36 Decatur and Eastern RR train 101 heading east near Chrisman.
6:50 Train 101 as it rounds the wye to turn south at Chrisman.
8:04 Train 101 as it continues through Edgar.
11:48 Moving into Indiana Railroad territory now, train HWSA crosses the diamond at Switz City. SAHW is in the siding ready to swap crews.
14:55 The crew of SAHW throwing the radio controlled switch and ready to depart.
15:02 SAHW leaving Switz City bound for Palestine yard.
16:12 SAHW in some hilly terrain just west of New Lebanon.
