This is one of those songs that I know what it is about but it's almost too difficult to put into words. All my life I have had this powerful emotional response inside me whenever I read, hear, or even just think of people who fight for a pure cause against cold, overwhelming force. Fighting for one's humble home, one's children, or even nature. It's the same feeling I get every time I watch the Last March of the Ents in the Lord of the Rings. If there is one thing that touches me deeper than anything else it's the small standing up to the tyrants, the pure to the corrupted, nature against the cold machine. I guess I'm on a lifelong quest to try to express these feelings with music and to transmit them to other people somehow.
Every part in this song is a first take, so I didn't sit down long to think if this or that melody could be changed etc., they are all the first thing that came to my mind when I sat down to play. I wanted to just feel, not think. Even if the song gets out more raw, I just wanted it to be pure.
