450+ years into the future, 2 years after the events of Jason X a salvage and recovery team arrives on Earth-1 in search of valuable artifacts. They find an item that should not exist, a leather glove affixed with 4 razor sharp blades but though it is over 500 years old it is still in perfect condition, they take the anomally on their ship and then prepare for a mandatory 7 day cryo sleep while in warp drive, during their cryo sleep they begin to learn this glove has a history of death and it has come for them!
