WORLD OCEAN DAY
The Ocean covers over 70% of our planet & produces at least 50% of the worlds oxygen. Our oceans help to sustain life on our planet, but now the ocean is in need of our support with fish populations being depleted and coral reefs being destroyed. World Oceans Day was set up in 1992 to help bring awareness to these issues and to help us take action to do our part regarding the health of our oceans.
Today we thought we would take some time out to play with our ocean themed crafty goodies, to have fun and to bring awareness to this important issue.
How can you get involved? Pop over to the UN World Oceans Day website to learn more about our oceans & how we can care for them going forward. It's both a fascinating read but a sobering one too!
For my projects I have used the wonderful Garden Glory & Garden Surprise clear stamp sets from Polkadoodles. These are part of the Stamp Soup range & are designed to let your creativity flow. Using the different shapes, I have created 2 sea themed cards as part of the celebration. Links to all products are at the bottom of this post.
