It's a memory collage of a beautiful tradition in Sweden- a big old Valborg fire. In English it's call Walpurgis night, and it goes back to a time of witch hunts but of course, before that it went back to a pagan tradition- like every other holiday that exists.
But it's a time to welcome Summer, celebrate that it isn't so cold and unwelcoming. You can hear in the video snippets of traditional songs that are sung. It's so beautiful here on this island. The kids were so happy to stay up late and to make new friends.
