In this recorded conversation, artist Judy Baca engages with Pilar Tompkins Rivas, Chief Curator and Deputy Director of Curatorial and Collections at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, and Michael Govan, CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director at LACMA. The program began with a screening of Agnès Varda's documentary Mur Murs and together they explore the rich history of The Great Wall of Los Angeles and the legacy of muralism in Los Angeles. This program was co-presented by the Lucas Museum and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in conjunction with the LACMA exhibition “Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall.”
