It’s kind of a strange video, but I really wanted to share some of my favorite patriotic poetry from American History in Verse. So, I recorded me doing the June Writing Bingo card that I think I got from The Writing Gals and between clips, read some of my favorites.
I know Nathan Hale’s poem is a weird way to read it, but I always loved the cadence of drum beats as you go through it. Except once he dies. Then I like to see it shift to something gentler, but I’m never very good at that transition. Oh, well. I love them anyway.
