Diederik Van Hoogstraten is one of the writers that worked with Jon Erwin of the Wonder project to bring the origin story of George Washington to the big screen. The film shows that before he was the father of a nation, George Washington was a soldier fighting to survive. As alliances crumble and the frontier erupts into war, he must confront not only his enemies but the man he's becoming.
