A graduate of The One Academy has made history by becoming the first Malaysian to receive an award at the prestigious Concept Art Awards, held in Los Angeles, USA. Organised by the Concept Art Association (CAA), the awards recognise excellence in concept art across global entertainment industries, including film, games, animation, and visual development.
Tan Jiun Qi was awarded Winner of the Student – Character Concept Art category for his work Nocshire – Lady Monochrome. This achievement reflects his dedication and creativity, and offers a glimpse into the growing potential of Malaysian artists on the international stage.
As a creative education institution, The One Academy is committed to providing quality education and creating an environment where creative talents can grow and thrive. This commitment was recognised when we were named the World’s No. 1 Creative School by The Rookies in 2024, having competed against 462 schools across 105 countries.
We hope these milestones may encourage aspiring young creatives across the nation to believe in their ideas, pursue their craft with confidence, and play a part in shaping Malaysia’s creative landscape.
