Meet Uriel, from Southwest Detroit. Growing up, he didn't have access to the outdoors until a Detroit Outdoors camping trip after high school changed everything. The experience brought healing and a newfound purpose, leading Uriel to work full-time with Detroit Outdoors.

Now, he's a passionate advocate for outdoor equity, traveling to D.C. for OAK Week to fight for equal access to nature. Uriel is dedicated to helping young people in his community find the same connection to the outdoors that changed his life. 🌳✨
