The Jim Henson Company | Celebrate Puppeteer Richard Hunt #pride @JimHensonCompany | Uploaded June 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 week ago.
Richard Hunt has always been a personal hero of mine; he was a truly gifted puppeteer and a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Richard lived his life authentically and joyously and approached every project and each of his phenomenal characters with integrity, uniqueness, passion and uproarious hilarity! His incredible legacy lives on in so many projects that have impacted all of our lives.
In celebration of Pride Month and of the amazing Richard Hunt, here is some rare and never-before-seen behind the scenes footage of Richard on the set of the original Fraggle Rock. Here you’ll see him working with the puppeteers and choreographing The Rock Goes On, while directing his episode “The Honk of Honks.”
Thank you, Richard Hunt for all the magic you gave to the world!
-John Tartaglia
Executive Producer & Puppeteer (Gobo Fraggle)
