We're taking you Out of Town to celebrate the Dog Days of Summer with The Chicago Dogs!
First, we talked to Cason, Front Office Intern, about all of the exciting news coming from The Chicago Dogs team!
The last week of September will feature a whole week of baseball and a whole week of exciting and new twists!
Starting on September 4th, there will be a bobblehead giveaway! The bobbleheads will feature twin brothers, Stan and Stu, who are the Pitching Coach and Head Coach for The Chicago Dogs!
On September 5th, there will be a fireworks show!
On September 6th is the last Family Sunday of the year where families can come play on the field and interact with the players!
Then on September 7th, there's Fan Appreciation Day which will feature some giveaways and a jersey auction! The proceeds from the auction will go to The Children's Diabetes Foundation!
While we were talking to Cason, we also got to meet the mascot Squeeze and his arch nemesis Ketchup!
Cason says the venue is fantastic and that he absolutely loves the environment and the energy that the fans bring to the games!
After talking to Cason, we got to meet Stan and Stu to talk about how their journey led them to The Chicago Dogs!
Their advice for up-and-coming ball players? Enjoy the game, have fun, respect your opponents, and let your talents grow as you keep practicing.
