CDs are making a comeback. Believe it or not, there is a new technology through which you can now pack 1.6 petabytes of data into one CD! Once considered obsolete, CDs are making a triumphant comeback, defying expectations. Recently, researchers in China have developed this revolutionary CD technology, enabling a single CD to hold a staggering 1.6 petabytes or simply 16 lakh gigabytes of data (Pg. no. 2). To put it into perspective, to store such colossal amounts of data, companies like Google typically require a server room the size of a small warehouse. But the question is will this technology could be succesful? What will be the price of it and ofcourse will it be available to the masses? Let's find out!!
