IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has been bringing us all sorts of cool artwork. The new styles coming with guest artist all the time. This makes it so the fans are not just excited to see what is going to happen next in the on going story, though we also want to see the new art style as it’s coming at us. We all have our favorites and the ones we don’t really like, the best thing about that is there’s something for everyone. At New York Comic Con 2015 I got to catch up with one of the new artist for IDW, Michael Dialynas.
Michael was in artist alley with a TMNT print on his table, as well as some of his original artwork for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cover art. From the little displayed there at the booth, I could feel the excitement grow. His style has character, they look like the Turtles we all know and love. While still standing out, to be his own. It’s not often I buckle down to buy original cover art.
In talking with Michael I learned that he’s the new artist for three of the upcoming issues of IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So I asked him to take a few moments to do this interview. We attempted a few times through the weekend, as his commissions were piling up and my voice was disappearing I wasn’t sure we were going to be able to do the interview. Thankfully on Sunday we both found the time right before the convention closed to do this interview.
I really enjoyed getting to meet Michael. I want to attend a Thanks out to him for taking this time to speak out to the fans. And any who’ve not watched the video yet, do know that Michael is a fellow fan. He grew up with Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles as an inspiration.
