Here's a complete broadcast (well nearly, but the entire show is there) of another obscure and forgotten animated special, Puff and the Incredible Mr. Nobody, as aired over the CBS Network, and thus in Chicago via WBBM Channel 2. (It should be noted that there was no preeemption notice given where this aired)
Based on the Peter, Paul and Mary song "Puff, the Magic Dragon" (and co-produced by Peter Yarrow of the famed folk trio), this tells the story of a young boy, Terry (voice of David Mendenhall), who learns to believe in his own creative abilities with a little help from Puff. Narrated by Burgess Meredith as the magic dragon himself; also includes the voices of Diana Dumpis, Joan Gerber, Bob Holt, Billy Jacoby, Hal Smith, and Robert Ridgely.

Heres the complete, first-run broadcast of a Halloween-themed episode of The Fall Guy, appropriately titled October the 31st (S04E07), over the ABC Network via Chicagos own WLS Channel 7.
This edition - which deals with spooky goings on at a house that the owner refuses to let the film crew work in - featured Cassandra Peterson as Elvira (a character shed played since 1981 on an (originally) local Los Angeles TV horror movie show) and, more significantly, all four of the Carradine clan (patriarch John Carradine and sons David, Keith and Robert Carradine) guest starred in this. It should also be noted that the co-writer of this installment, Sam Egan, would later write Ms. Petersons 1988 feature film Elvira: Mistress of the Dark.

Heres a little slice of channel surfing on cable TV (or more specifially, Warner Cables QUBE) in and around Columbus, OH, with the main centerpiece being an edition of Donahue where Tony Gabriel (husband of Mrs. America 1979, Carrie Gabriel) was duking it out with members of Phils studio audience.
(Trivia: Columbus, OH, was home to WCMH Channel 4, which until 1976 was known as WLWC - and as such, formerly a sister station to then-WLWD Channel 2 in Dayton, now WDTN, where Donahue began his show back in 1967, and was there until 1974 when he moved to Chicago; the segment of his show shown here at one point featured one of the fonts from 1974-82 originating station WGN Channel 9s newer CG system.)
