Coos Bay Rail train traveling to Eugene between Florence and Mapleton. Led by HLCX 1044, which appears to be a GP40 and CBRL 1909, a GP30, the train did not have a FRED, or Flashing Rear End Device, which replaced cabooses.
However, around the corner in Mapleton were several empty log cars with a FRED attached. It's possible that the train picked up those cars and the FRED.
