Cave Story (also known as Doukutsu Monogatari) is a free action-adventure video game, independently developed by Daisuke Amaya. Originally released in December 2004 for PC, the game has seen various unofficial ports to other video game platforms. An updated version was released on March 22, 2010 for Nintendo's WiiWare service by independent video game company Nicalis with collaboration from Pixel, who also ported the title to the DSiWare. Released in August 1997, Mega Man Legends is Mega Mans 3D adventure, but more importantly, its the first Mega Man game to feature a monkey sidekick. Legends takes place 3000 years after the first Mega Man series, yet still features the same simplistic designs because Capcom cant be bothered to create anything new (hello Street Fighter). Barrel Casket and Roll (no relation to Snap, Crackle, and Pop) find a baby and name him Mega Man. Now Roll and Mega Man search for refractors (the worlds power source), Rolls Parents, and the Mother Lode. Mega Man and Roll must land on the nearby Kattelox Island because of engine trouble. Mega Man ends up helping Kattelox Island from the Bonne family and an even greater danger (stale sequels, maybe?).

Featuring a cast of characters including Simon Belmont, Mikey from the Goonies, Goemon, King Kong, Fuuma, and a Moai head from Gradius (well, really Moai-kun, but 99% of people will think Gradius) as well as Konamis two ill-fated mascots, Konami Man and Konami Girl and a host of other cameos, this games really a Konami fanboys dream come true.
