MS can arise through complex interactions between genetic and environmental risk factors. A risk factor is any risk or any factor which can increase your chance of developing MS; but each by themselves is not enough for you to develop MS. These can include; Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), sunlight exposure, smoking and obesity.

MS Research Australia is the largest not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding, coordinating, educating and advocating for MS research as part of the worldwide effort to solve MS.
