Honduras was the most corrupt border crossing we’ve experienced so far. We’ve crossed a lot of borders on this trip driving through Central America on the Pan American highway, but entering Honduras from El Salvador takes the cake for the biggest scam we’ve faced so far. What should’ve been a straightforward crossing turned into a confusing, chaotic, and frankly shady situation , complete with surprise fees, aggressive officials, and zero clear answers. On the flip side, crossing into Nicaragua from Honduras was a BREEZE compared to the stories we've heard from overlanding friends.
