This is crazy, i went for a walk on 9/22/24 and this is what i say. cop blocking a lane of traffic to yell at a dude for a shopping cart. do they work for the private business? was there a complaint about this guy stealing one? no, he actually brings them back, I've seen him with a few different ones at different times. but he wasn't all the way back to that side yet, he stopped to panhandle. which is what it is, who am i to say anything? the cop stopped and said he was getting a warning for the cart and he had to bring it back "now", which didn't make any sense. what's it matter if its now, or an hour or 2? it'll be just fine, so i brought it back for him so he could keep doing his thing. if this is what the cops are out worrying about, there's to many of them, there's no real crime going on if this is what they're worrying about. these private businesses make more than enough to employ a cart guy, or collector. But i really appreciate the second guy, i do remember hearing him, it was just a weird situation and i wanted to let the family be that's why i didn't stick around. but it takes a lot for one of them to actually appreciate something and say thank you like that. no ego, no attitude, just 2 humans talking.
