Since we are moving, we had to come up with a new arrangement for Billy and Hannah. Billy has been eating on the countertop (up to back of couch, though pass through and onto countertop) for sixteen years now. In the house, we won't have that arrangement, so there's no way for him to navigate a journey to the countertop.
Rosie had a great idea and found a small home made bench that we purchased for $10. It's about six or seven inches tall -- too high for Hannah to reach a food bowl sitting on top it, but not too tall for Billy to reach the platform. Rosie stained it and I added some carpet to the top for anti-slip factor.
This video shows Billy's maiden voyage with the new feeding arrangements.
