Join us for our long overdue chat with our 2019 Corisini Fellows: Matthieu Caron and Julia Pyryeskina. For those of you that are new to the Institute, every year, thanks to the generosity of Bob and Bev Corsini, we are able to offer short term summer fellowships to graduate students working on topics related to Canada in a transnational setting.Matthieu Caron is a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto. His dissertation examines nightlife in Montréal during the Quiet Revolution. Julia Pyryeskina is Research Proposal Facilitator at the Office of the Vice-President at Ryerson University. At the time of her Corsini fellowship, Julia was a graduate student in the department of history at York University. Her thesis examines Canadian gay and lesbian liberation as well as trans activism in the 1970s and 80s.
