To maximize the fretting hand speed :
Be relaxed, nobody's after you.
Play close to the frets.
Don't plant your thumb.
Curl your fingers and put them at work, including the pinky.
Keep your wrist straight.
Again, relax man ! This is not a contest and will never be...lol.
