These things are...just awesome.
There aren't a lot of new an interesting VCO designs out there, so when I
saw this one pop up and heard it was going to be a limited run (due to the limited availability of NOS mini-tubes) I immediately grabbed one.
The name comes from the MiG fighters that these tubes were originally
designed for. I'm going to assume that means they'll last a while.
You almost don't need the filter. The VCO has so much control and character that the filter seems like gilding the lily. But then you add it to the VCO and BOOM! your head explodes with all the great sound.
