In 1986 Oxford hosted the Huxley Memorial Debate on Creationism vs. Evolution with Edgar Andrews and A. E. Wilder-Smith representing creation and Richard Dawkins and John Maynard- Smith for Evolution. This debate is only known to exist from a single recording and Oxford has denies having any record of it.
