Sonic boots let you skip the second laser beam. I missed two corner boosts, one before the drawbridge and the second before the Minotaurs. That coupled with some better platforming will save a little more than a second I think, will have to test to see if you can stop Gergoth earlier.
Not sure if you can, since he generally has to complete his forward/back movement completely, but worth a shot.

Another run with big routing changes thanks to some new strats discovered. The equip glitch to use a really strong gun had been known for a couple of days, but how to unlock crafting without going through the child village was a big breakthrough.
