It's once more my favorite time of year! Castlemania Redefined is actually a repeat of Castlemania 2019's games! For the most part. We will again be playing through the six games released across the GBA and DS, by way of the Castlevania Advance and Dominus Collections! The only change-up is that, instead of a Richter Mode playthrough like in 2019, I'll instead be playing as Alucard in the Saturn version of Symphony of the Night! As the games that took the series in a new direction, "Redefined" I felt fit the bill perfectly.
Anyhow, we start off with a game that's notorious to me as one of my least favorites in the series, one I often speak of with vitriol. And as I return to it today, I find myself... much more indifferent to it. Yeah, some flaws remain that I still take issue with, but maybe this one's... alright. Just alright. Now to hope the second stream doesn't suddenly torpedo the whole thing.
