Well, didn't think I'd have anything else done before the end of the year, but as you can see, I did end up finishing something.
I recently beat Aria of Sorrow for the first time. It's a great game. Farming for souls is a little tedious, but it makes for some really cool secondary attacks, like throwing grenades, shooting fireballs, etc. Didn't get all the souls or 100% map completion, but I did get the best ending on my first playthrough. AoS may be my favorite Castlevania game right now.
I initially didn't think too highly of this song as it started out really slowly. Upon actually reaching the clock tower in my playthrough of AoS, I started to really take a shine to the music. Now? It's one of my favorite clock tower themes in the franchise, right next to Tragic Prince from SotN and Cursed Clock Tower from DoS. I really enjoy the dark, gloomy atmosphere this song sets up. It's become one of my favorite pieces from Michiru Yamane.
One other reason I did this song was to test out the capabilities of the latest release of Super Mario Paint. Version 1.0.4 allows for sustained instruments to be toggled for individual files now, so I took advantage of that for this arrangement. Also did some work with volume control for louder guitars and such.
Well, enjoy!
