This is a piece I used for university auditions a year later. Listening to it with 20 years distance is a deeply weird experience. Im simultaneously impressed with myself for managing this in high school but.... also want to smack past myself for a few interpretive things, mostly how I hadnt really figured out how we HEAR timing as distinct from how a performer FEELS timing. Fun as hell piece though, also the original source for some of the techniques I used in transcribing Old King Allant.
I will also add that theres a decent correlation between the parts I where struggle with accuracy and the parts I remember Cziffra altering. You really understand why he made his choices after playing this yourself.
