Hands down this is one of the coolest maps I've played in any Serious Sam game and of course you can see in the title who it's made by... Combat is incredibly fun but very challenging and feels perfectly tuned around the Classic's slower weapon swap speed. There's also some super cool ideas that are executed well such as side quests and merchant shops that allow you to choose 1 items to take with you.
Performance is a bit on the rough end though as I don't think there are any sectors in this map, though I could be wrong (let me know in the comments). I also think that while the idea of the merchant shops are cool, there's definitely a clear cut winner for which item to grab (Tommygun is an easy recommendation since the Flamethrower isn't much further into the map and I would argue the Cannon is a necessity for the final fight as the piercing power and big damage outshine the Minigun's DPS, plus the secret Lasergun can be used to fulfill this role).
I did mess up a bit at the end as I was playing sloppy and for some reason the game decided to reset the option that made Netricsa & Use on the same key (what was Croteam smoking with this decision?). Also my brother literally messaged me after I had already started recording and showed up during the last third of the map which definitely put the pressure on. I feel really dumb for falling into the lava and using the Serious Bomb I claimed that I would "never use" to kill the medium Lava Golem that spawned... but such is life I suppose, lol.
Alright that's enough jibber jabber; the long short of it is this map is incredible. It's a visual spectacle to behold, has incredible music, great pacing, unique ideas that succeed for the most part, engaging combat and a cool idea for a final boss that isn't just shoot it until it dies.
This map is the full package and is something I think every Sam fan, new or old, needs to play and experience for themselves.
