Lost Battlefields w Tino Struckmann | Castle Wartburg - Martin Luthers refuge @tinostruckmann | Uploaded 2 months ago | Updated 21 hours ago
The Prussians once again decided to construct one of the most amazing fortresses of history, and it is still standing tall, very tall actually its on a hilltop. Napoleon tried to take it and failed, but it saw a different service during WW2.
Today it is called Fort Srebrna Gra, and there is a dedicated restoration effort on-going to bring it back to life. As last it saw service was during the Second World war, where the Germans used it to house Polish POWs
It is simply an amazing place to see, one of the great fortresses of history, and as it was with the bunkers of WW1 and 2 used for artillery testing, so was this one before, and that damage is quite interesting too.
Please like and follow it helps and much more history is coming every week. And all the documents and files are being uploaded to the website www.lostbattlefields.com where you can freely download and see all our research in the members area.
