Well, recently I've been into 21 Jump Street and the spinoff "Booker" (I luv Dennis hehe :P). While I was watching the opening credits for "Booker" one day I realized the theme song was perfect for "Castle".
In fact, the character of Dennis kinda reminds me of how Castle might have been at that age, and since I've always wanted to do a credits mashup (because I enjoy doing trailers) it seemed like a good idea. I also really liked how the original 80's credits were edited, using behind the scenes footage of the actors involved. It's a neat concept. I miss tv shows having openings. Some still do, but more recently the fad seems to be a recap and a title card.
