When the two silliest characters in the game team up, you know there's going to be comedy gold. But it's not quite what you'd expect given that they start off having basically the same mission.
Nope, things go off the rails and it's one of the few cases where even Roger is wondering what the heck is going on thanks to Reika's antics.
She can even cover for his weaknesses a bit when you need someone who doesn't move quite so fast and has slightly better range with her regular shot.

I know its fairly imperative that we synthesize a Cure Jar to save someones life, but theres still a bit to do with Viese now that we have more recipes as well as some that I forgot to unlock previously.
Not just that, but some side quests are open and completing the first one opens up a new Pact with another Mana and even more recipes, so Viese will be busy for a bit.
And of course the game automatically sends us back to Felt as soon as we make a Cure Jar.
Dang it, game! I wasnt done here!

Getting down to the final three pairs which also double as my Top 3 scenarios in terms of the stories. While we saw something similar between Reika and Batu, I really felt this one was more memorable as, for the most part, we get to see Naginos nice side in her attempts at convincing Batu to do just one thing.
For gameplay purposes, Nagino still outshines her partner in pretty much every way, except for maybe against the Stage 3 and 4 mid-bosses.

Another vanilla pairing that sadly isnt as good as the previous one in both ways courtesy of Fumiko and Munchausen sharing the same weaknesses with their regular shot type and Munchausen only really able to cover during Shikou phase 2.
Other than that, its a very standard story for the pair. Nothing special.

Rumors spread quickly in Eden as everyones talking about the restoration of the Fire Shrine, but we have other things to worry about as more events and side quests open up that pay off both monetarily and in terms of new recipes, so theres a lot to do.
Upon reporting to Kruez, were given permission to enter the Noir Historical Library, but we need a Glow Lamp in order to actually see whats inside there.
No surprise that we need to pact with a Fire Mana in order to make one. So, with Iris now accompanying us, thats what well do!

Lots more exposition as we get Hugos backstory and the source of the feud with his brother all while Epona dishes out her thoughts and advice. Unfortunately, that doesnt really teach us how to open the gate.
But, on the plus side, we already know what to due thanks to past experience and find our way to the room where Feena is held in just in time for her to drop a bomb in the form of the truth about the source of magic on Ys.

You know the route is going to take itself super-seriously when Roger isnt joking around. As such, we get a pair who are focused on solving the incident and are good for dealing with bosses, while their regular enemy game isnt quite up to par.
In one sense, its not much different from the Roger and Gennojo run, but still a good one overall.

Were more or less cleaning up the rest of the bridge repair plot that is not nearly as bad in this hack simply due to the double walking speed and half encounter rate. So we fix the bridge, explore the rest of the cave, and get story confirmation on Lufia being our best magic user by speaking friend and enterin- Oh, wait, wrong series.
And you thought we were going into Arus to continue the plot?

The various Marisa titles created by Double Cluster have been fairly memetic in the Touhou fandom since their creation. As I already did a Lets Play of Mega Mari, I figured that it would be interesting to return to the even more difficult Super Marisa World, which is full of Super Mario references in its bosses.
However, I still have PTSD from playing through the game years ago, so I convinced three members of the Bakashop Quartet to do a blind race of the game with some assistance from me.
Will there be a winner? Or will there just be survivors?
