I've finally started reading John Campbell's book on casting. In his 10 rules, the section describing rule 2 is titled "Avoid turbulent entrainment (the critical velocity requirement)". It got me thinking "could a guy like me, a hobbyist in his garage" pull off the counter-gravity technique espoused in the book. This is my first attempt. It went really well.
