One of the Casio VA-10's features is the "pitch sensor", which works sort of like pitch to MIDI. It also has a monophonic sequencer. The auto-accompaniment can't be played manually, but can be automatically generated by the "harmony arranger" based on the melody recorded into the sequencer. It takes a fairly long time to process, and the result is a sort of clumsy harmonization that only barely fits what you've played. These features can all be used together for surrealist Smooth Jazz From Hell elevator music. Recorded 2006?
You'll notice that mine is heavily modified (not just circuit bends but actually decently designed added features), but the recording predates this.
Also note the classy woodgrain Dymo labels. The letters disappeared from some of them after a long ride in a hot car.
