The mechanical engineering company GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG in Mindelheim needed to implement a new automated storage system in order to expand its assembly processes and ensure high quality standards. The company wanted to improve its use of storage capacities, ensure a transparent flow of goods, and increase its turnover speed. Together with VITRONIC, has installed an automatic storage solution for the small parts warehouse and for the pallet warehouse. Using machine vision systems from VITRONIC, the occupancy of the various loading units is inspected and documented – to provide an important key figure for optimizing space utilization.
