Sunya and I visited Casa Maja in Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, Jalisco, Mexico, to evaluate the food, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness before recommending it to our 2027 retreat guests.
Sunya ordered Spaghetti Caborca with a refreshing limonada, while I enjoyed Pasta Respiro with chicken and agua de Jamaica. Nestled at the foot of a mountain, Casa Maja offers spectacular views from its rear seating area. We chose the beautiful indoor dining space to avoid the mosquitoes. My scores: 8/10 for the food and 10/10 for the gorgeous décor and cleanliness. Will Casa Maja make our 2027 retreat itinerary? Watch and see!
